Leonardo J. D’Arcangelo, 91

Leonardo J. D’Arcangelo, 91, of Milford, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home.Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette (Tosches) D’Arcangelo and was a life long Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford Schools before entering the U.S. Army during WWII.  Upon his return from World War II he attended Northeastern University.

    Husband of 22 years to Judith (Davenport) D’Arcangelo, he retired in 2014 from Van Wal Machine in Bellingham, where he had worked for over 40 years as a machinist.An avid gardener, he enjoyed traveling to Florida during winters for 22 years, working and sitting in his yard, and reading books on WWII. He was also proud of raising his two children alone, following the death of his first wife Carol (Boudreau) D’Arcangelo in 1978.           

     Loving father of Claudine A. Pannichelli and her husband Jay of Hopedale and James J. D’Arcangelo and his wife Amy of Southborough. He was the brother of James D’Arcangelo of Southborough, and a sister-in-law, Maryanne Boudreau Taylor and his late sisters, Lucy D’Arcangelo, Nellie Coppolla, and Jennie D’Arcangelo. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin Pannichelli and Leonardo D’Arcangelo, as well as 1 nephew and 4 nieces. 

    His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. in Milford MA. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Milford MA. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 P.M.     

    In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Solmon V.N.A. Hospice or to the Disabled American Veterans
