Anthony R. Depoto, 78,

   Anthony R. Depoto, 78, of Bellingham, passed away in Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family, July 26, 2015. He was the loving husband of Dorothy A. (Taxiera) Depoto for 57 years. He was born in Franklin, son of the late Domenic and Lena (Genoa) Depoto and lived in Bellingham most of his life. He was a graduate of the Norfolk Agricultural School class of 1954. After he graduated he was employed in his families business, Hillside Nurseries in Franklin.
Tony owned and operated Oak Tree Garden Florist in Mendon for many years before retiring in 1999.  He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved spending time with his entire family.   
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Anthony R. Depoto Jr. of Warren RI, Brenda Mayhew of Medway, Jean and her husband Dennis Bruneault of Blackstone, Karen and her husband Thomas Sirard of Whitinsville, one brother Richard Depoto of Franklin, one sister, Donna Brunelli of Franklin, five grandchildren, Christine E. Depoto, Jessica Mayhew, Sarah A. Depoto, Jennifer Bruneault and Nicholas Bruneault, two great- grandchildren, Christian and Jamie, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Depoto.
The funeral will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Church 151 Mendon St. Upton MA. The burial will follow in the Hopedale Village Cemetery in Hopedale MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.

I was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of cousin Tony. Regretfully, I will not be able to express my condolences to the Family in person due to recent back surgery (July 14th). I fondly remember as a child the times the Giancola kids spent at Uncle Dom's & Aunt Lena's "camp" on Uncas Pond, with our Depoto cousins. Those are golden memories.
