Judson E. Parkinson - "Parky"

Judson E. Parkinson - "Parky" - Beloved husband, son, father and friend left this earth on March 21, 2017.  Jud is one of the strongest men we know, and he will be in our hearts forever. Jud was born on November 13, 1937 to Clayton and Leola Parkinson.  He was born and raised in Mendon, MA and grew up on the Parkinson farm in the center of town with his parents and his brother, Terry.  They owned and operated Parkinson's Greenhouse. Jud owned West Hill Corporation with his brother, Terry, before retiring in 2005 and moving to Tennessee.  He loved the great outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, jet skiing, boating or flying his plane.  He was adventurous and did not let anything hold him back from the things he wanted to do.  He loved country music and his motorcycle.  Most importantly, he loved his family.  He was the father of 10 children whom he cherished.  Jud leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Carole Parkinson along with his brother Terry Parkinson and his wife, Joanne.  He also leaves behind his ten children, Daughter Jean "Bunny" Henault of Douglas, MA, Daughter Laureen MacBradaigh and her husband Chuck Gheringhelli of Crossville, TN, Son George and his wife Beth Parkinson of Douglas, MA, Daughter Sheri Giargiari of Nashville, TN,  Daughter Julie Ridgeway of Nashville, Son Jack Grenga and his fiancé Shannon Fino of Mendon MA, Daughter Michele Bigelow of Alexandria, PA Daughter Jennifer Grenga of Nashville, TN, Son Jeff Grenga of Nashville, TN and Daughter Claudia Grenga and husband Michael Ellis of Crossville, TN.  He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  We celebrate Jud's life by remembering the wonderful man he was throughout his life and the love and devotion he had for his family.  He was a husband, a son, a friend, and to his children…a hero.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St, Milford, MA 01757.  Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Hopedale Village Cemetery.    A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 8:30 AM at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 151 Mendon St, Upton, MA 01568.

Carol and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I always had so much fun with Jud when he was at Terry and Joannes house. I will never forget the motorcycle ride he gave me and I told him to go fast and boy what a ride that was. Rest in peace Jud.
