Rhonda A. (Dalesio) Manczurowsky, 54

On July 14, 2020, Rhonda Ann Manczurowsky passed away peacefully at the age of 54 surrounded by her loving family after a 15 month battle with mesothelioma, a rare cancer. Rhonda was born to Mario and Ann Marie Dalesio of Milford, MA on July 28, 1965. Rhonda attended nursing school at Fitchburg State University and fell in love along the way with her beloved husband of nearly 33 years, Walter Manczurowsky. Together they raised three children, Julia, Kayla, and Sofia. Rhonda committed her life to the care of her family and the care of others as she touched countless patient lives in her 33 years as a nurse. Over the past 11 years, Rhonda became an Oncology Certified Nurse and gave her heart and soul to her patients undergoing radiation at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center. Recreationally, Rhonda always had a passion for dance; in her early years, she danced at her cousin’s studio in Milford and later joined Jazzercise in Milford, where she often won the award for most classes attended in a year. Rhonda lived her life with grace, passion, and love and in that spirit we share one of her favorite sayings, “Enthusiasm makes the ordinary, EXTRAordinary.” Rhonda is preceded in death by her father, Mario. She is survived by her husband Walter, her three children, Julia, Kayla, and Sofia, her mother Ann Marie, sister Lynn, and brother Ronald. In honor of her dedication to the field of oncology and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation at https://www.curemeso.org/donate. Since her diagnosis, Rhonda has said, "I hope someday I help someone beat this.” She is ever the nurse, ever our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. If you met Rhonda in this life, consider yourself lucky, for you have crossed paths with an angel on Earth.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 5 – 8PM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford.

Walter, Julia, Kayla, and Sofia, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to meet your mother (father and Sofia) through Whitinsville Blue Dolphins. She was kind, intelligent, and always willing to lend a helping hand (or sign Walter up). I never saw her without a smile; she was quick to give a compliment, and encouraged Sofia to do her best but most importantly, find joy in her sport. She was so proud of her children, and it is clear that she has passed her grace on to each of you by the support and caring you showed through her illness. May God bless each of you during this very difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Manczurowsky Family: I am so terribly sorry for the grief you are experiencing. Rhonda always radiated joy, positivity and love. She and I met about 14 years ago on the dance floor, where we shared not only a love of dance & fitness, but a mutual adoration for one another as we both believed that honesty, integrity, kindness, love of family & friends, passion for knowledge and more were important aspects of life. We often spoke of such topics as she was a cheerleader for strong, confident women. Rhonda always greeted me with a warm smile and an even warmer hug. Rhonda’s love of family was ever apparent, and I have no doubt that her love is reflected in each of you. I am sending my heartfelt hugs and prayers your way as you continue to navigate the coming days. All my love, Nadine.

So sorry to hear of Rhonda’s passing. I worked with Kayla at the Brigham and always got the strong sense that yours is a beautiful family. When we learned of Rhonda’s diagnosis I was so hopeful that she would recover and be the exception to the scary prognosis associated with Mesothelioma. May all who were so obviously blessed to have known and loved this amazing woman you have my profoundest sympathy. I am truly heartbroken.
Paula DiGiovine

I am so sorry to hear this Kayla. She was too young. Know that eventually it will be a great consolation that you were able to take care of her and be there for her during this trial of life. You did all you could for her. It is not up to us when we lose those we love. Though I did not know your Mom, it is evident that you and your sisters were very blessed to have her as a mother. I am thinking of you and your family. Love, Margaret
