Christopher J. Wright, 53,

Christopher J. Wright, 53, of Milford, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 surrounded by his family after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. He was the fiancée of Debi Campbell.  They were together for 19 wonderful, adventurous years. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Jean (Gavigan) Wright of Framingham and the late Raymond Wright.  He was a former long-time resident of Framingham. He was a graduate of Keefe Technical High School (Framingham) Class of 1983.             Chris worked as an automotive technician at Land Rover MetroWest for many years, then J. White’s Automotive, Framingham, MA; most recently he was employed at Lowes of Milford, and Gillette Stadium as a Concession Supervisor.

His passion was cars. For many years he owned an International Scout which he showed and won many trophies. His current passion was restoring a 1973 Pontiac Grand Am.  He followed the Bruins, the Patriots and NASCAR.  He spent the winter of 2016-17 in Nokomis, Florida where he loved going to the beach, searching for shark’s teeth and metal detecting.  While in Florida, he was able to attend a pre-season Red Sox game, a NE Patriots game in Miami and a Bruins game in Tampa.

In addition to his fiancée and mother, Chris is survived by his children, Kelly C. Wright and Julie A. Wright of Milford, his brother Raymond Wright and wife Arlene of Clinton, MA, a nephew, Kevin Wright and niece, Olivia Wright of Clinton, MA. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Bruce S. Wright. He also is survived by Debi’s children, Heidi Gagnon, Andrew Winter (and his wife Karleen) and Alex Campbell all of Milford.  He was “honorary” grandpa to Joshua, Sean, Aunisty, Hayden and Harleen. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, MA.  There will be no calling hours or burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made in Chris’ name to the Oliva’s Cancer Fund, Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757 (foundation.milfordregional.org) or to the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, Florida 34236 (mote.org/support/donate).

To Christopher's family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. It's so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that Jehovah God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort and strength, remembering that soon God will wipe away our tears and swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8)

Sending you and your family, all my kind and loving thoughts, and have fond memories of you visiting my family in Ky. and Tenn., and at a family reunion.
