Ana B. (Braz) Baia, 97, of Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday, December, 14, 2018 at the Genesis Healthcare in Milford. She was the wife of the late Joaquim R. Baia who passed away in 2009. She was born in Ardaos, Boticas, Portugal daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Pires) Braz and immigrated to Milford in 1979.
Mrs. Baia was a communicant of the St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She is survived by her children, Laura and her husband Joaquim Valenca and Maria and her husband Antonio Murras both of Milford, one sister Delfina Braz of Portugal, four grandchildren, Ana Rua, Alice Miller, Mike Murras and Nancy Chaves and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St. The burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
