I met Elmer when he would walk by our house on his way to get coffee or go to the library, always happy and smiling, never to busy to stop and chat. What a nice man, a true gentleman. We will miss seeing him walk down Freedom Street.

His non-judge mental attitude made it always a pleasure to be in his presence. He made one feel at ease.
