Mrs. Dina M. (Bracci) Rowe, 92

Mrs. Dina M. (Bracci) Rowe, formally of Hopedale, Bellingham and Carver, MA, has passed away peacefully at Advinia Care in Northbridge on Friday, Sept 3, 2021. She was 92 years old.  She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell C. (Chuck) Rowe and her children.  Wendy A. (Rowe) Trinidad and son in law Edward Trinidad of Douglas, Ernest Rowe and daughter in law Danielle (Giguere) Rowe of Douglas, Jay Rowe of Bellingham and five granddaughters Kaleigh and Olivia Rowe of Milford, Dakota, Kendra and Cassidy Rowe of Douglas and  one great granddaughter Shayla Rowe of Milford. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Dina is the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Savelli) Bracci and Joseph Bracci both from Italy and later settled in Hopedale. She is survived by her sister Josephine (Bracci) Miller of Hopedale. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Pauline (Bracci) DeCicco of Stafford Springs, CT, Dante Bracci of Franklin, Ada (Bracci) Leclaire of Milford, Americo Bracci of Milford, Dino Bracci of Hopedale and Maria (Bracci) Alfonso of Hopedale.  Dina graduated from Hopedale High School in 1947.

She began working for the Draper Corporation in the factory and later as a secretary. She left Draper in 1959.  She began working at Milford Hospital in 1968 as a nurse’s aide and in 1974 she became the administrative secretary on the 11pm to 7am shift in the emergency room. She retired in 1994.  Dina met the love of her life Wendell at a dance as they spotted each other from across the room. They both noticed they could dance, and dance well. They fell in love and married on Dec 8, 1957. Dancing became their favorite pastime.  They would enjoy many dances to come, easily clearing dance floors throughout their lives. Dina also enjoyed bowling, painting, Polish and Italian music and playing cards with her in laws. She enjoyed in her later years playing bocce with her friends, needlepoint, trips to Plymouth Harbor and spending time with her granddaughters and great granddaughter.  Dina had a sparkling personality and very infectious laugh. She loved to tell a good joke and would often laugh before giving the punch line. You couldn’t help but laugh if you were around her. She will be terribly missed by those who loved her and all whose lives she touched.
