Robert J. “Bob” Figuerido Sr., 79,

Robert J. “Bob” Figuerido Sr., 79, of Hopedale, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Blair House in Milford, with his wife of 58 years Anya L. (Kosiba) Figuerido by his side. In addition to his wife Anya, Bob leaves two sons, Robert Figuerido Jr. and his fiancé Karen Hellmuth of Hopedale, and Anthony Figuerido and his wife Beth of Auburn. Bob was born on September 17, 1942, to the late William and Frances (Sacco) Figuerido.

Bob grew up in Millville, MA the youngest of seven siblings. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Milford in 1959. He married Anya, the love of his life, in 1963. After starting a family, he went back to school and graduated from Northeastern University in 1974, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for many area firms designing electrical and lighting systems which included a longer stay with the former Digital Equipment Corporation and most recently with Sheppard Engineering in Worcester. He was a member and one time president of the Illuminating Engineers Society, as well as a member of the Professional Engineering Society.

Bob loved baseball and the Boston Red Sox and was a former little league coach for both of his son’s teams. He was an avid golfer and a long time member of Hopedale Country Club where he made many long-time friends.

Calling hours will be held Thursday April 7, 2022 from 4:00-6:00pm at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, MA 01757. A private burial with family and close friends will be held Friday April 8, 2022 at Hopedale Village cemetery.
