Albert C. Gouveia, 95
Albert C. Gouveia, 95, of Milford, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in the Metro West Hospital in Natick. He was the husband of the late Helen (Rocha) Gouveia who died in 1990. He was born in Portugal son of the late Jose and Celeste (Drummond) Gouveia and lived in New York before moving to Milford many years ago. Mr. Gouveia was a World War II Army Veteran. He retired in 1963 from the former General Motors in Framingham where he was employed as a repairman. He was a communicant of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church and a member of the Dramatic Club in Milford.
He is survived by one son Albert J. Gouveia of Hudson, two daughters Norma Sweet of Franklin, Alberta Silvetti of Ashland, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 9 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the ST. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
