Eleanor M. (Pecci) Smith, 94
Eleanor M. (Pecci) Smith, 94, of Milford, died peacefully on April 9, 2012 at the Milford Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was the wife of the late George L. Smith who died in 1990. She was born in Franklin, daughter of the late Martin and Regetta (Pacella) Pecci and lived in Milford most of her life. She was educated in the Franklin schools and was employed as a cook at the Blaire House in Milford and the Pond Home in Wrentham. Her greatest joy was entertaining and cooking for family and friends. She is survived by two daughters; Sheila O’Toole of Hopkinton and Kathleen Mittelbach of South Hamilton and her husband John; one brother, Alfred Pecci and his wife Jan of Franklin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Nicholas “Chuck” Pilla; two brothers, Attillio Pecci, Anthony Pecci; and two sisters, Mafalda D’Afile and Angelina Bertoni. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday April 13, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter Street, Milford, MA. The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford. Calling hours will be held Friday prior to the funeral mass from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, MA.
