Ernest J. Fitzback Jr., 63

    Ernest J. Fitzback Jr., 63, of Milford, died Saturday, June 16, in his home surrounded by his family. Ernie fought a courageous battle for 14 years against a rare form of pancreatic and liver cancer.  He was the husband of Barbara C. (Mangini) Fitzback of 37 years. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Ernest and Theresa (Wylegala) Fitzback Sr. and lived in Webster most of his life before moving to Milford in 1984.
   He was a graduate of the St. Louis High School in Webster Ma, class of 1966, Quinsigamond College 1968 where he received an n associate’s degree, Boston State College 1970, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree and Salem State College where he received a Masters Degree. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran serving in the Military Police Battalion in Saigon.
   Mr. Fitzback retired in 1998 from the AT&T Company where he was employed as a manager. Previously he was employed for New England Telephone where he was employed as a service representative and also manager. He loved to spend time with his family, trips with his family to Disneyland and California, annual trips to Las Vegas with his wife. He enjoyed competitive sports, especially softball, basketball and tennis. 
   In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Jeffrey Fitzback of West Roxbury, one daughter Tracy and her husband Sean Cunningham of Bellingham, two grandchildren Cameron Cunningham and Quinn Cunningham both of Bellingham.
   A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10 A.M. in the St. Louis Church 16 Lake St., Webster Ma.
   Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Garden of Peace Cemetery on Whitcomb St. Webster Ma.
   Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. in Milford MA.
   In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Gastro- Intestinal Oncology, 450 Brookline Ave. Boston Ma 02215
