Constance A. (Simione) Viscione, 99,
Constance A. (Simione) Viscione, 99, soon to be 100 February 7, 2014, of Milford, passed away with grace, November 14, 2013 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge under the loving care of the Lydia Taft House staff, especially Tina who cared for her like she was her own mother. She was the wife of the late Vito P. Viscione who died in 1979.
She was born in Casavecchia, DePuglia, Italy, daughter of the late John and Maria (Mignone) Simione and lived in Milford most of her life. She was educated in the Milford schools and also attended many night courses at the Milford High School.
Mrs. Viscione was employed as an operating room assistant the Milford Hospital. She also was employed at the former Calicco Dress Shop in Milford, Lish Hat Factory also made hat in her home and the Archer Rubber Company in Milford.
She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club.
She was the loving mother of Philip and his wife Regina (Connor) Viscione of Smithfield RI, Janice and her husband Theodore “Ted” Brothers of Milford, one granddaughter, Susan Viscione of Milford.
She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine Simione and Sr. Donatella Simone and her brothers in Italy.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Milford.
The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning prior to the funeral mass from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral home 46 Water St. Milford MA.
