Catherine “Gloria” (Fitzgerald) Gill, 85

            Catherine “Gloria” (Fitzgerald) Gill, 85, of Milford passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 in her home. She was the wife of Francis J. Gill Jr. of 57 years. She was born Lynn, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Coleman) Fitzgerald and moved to Milford in 1965. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School class of 1946 and attended the former Berdette College in Lynn.
          In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Francis J. Gill III and John F. Gill both of Milford, Sandra and her husband Paul Benson of Salem, one brother Joseph Fitzgerald of MA, one sister Clara Zinner of Salem, two granddaughters, Colleen Benson and Maura Benson both of Salem.          The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St.   A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. in Milford.
    The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. Milford MA.
    Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M.

Dear Gill Family, Your wife, mom and grandmother was a wonderful woman. I have such fond memories of all the baking and parties she had for her children and the neighborhood children. My fondest memory was the wonderful gift of PJs for my my son when he was born. We did not even know one another but she saw the birth notice and was so thoughtful to drop off PJs.
