Rita Dolores (Albanese) Skinner

Rita Dolores (Albanese) Skinner was born in 1934 in Haverhill, Mass.  She was the daughter of Albert Albanese and Mary (Monticelli) Albanese of Haverhill, Mass.   Rita is predeceased by her mother and father and brother Richard Albanese, and is survived by her brother Robert Albanese and her sister Barbara (Dolly) Munroe.  She died on Saturday, May 10th at just after midnight after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Skinner, Mendon, Mass. who she married in 1956.  She is also survived by her children, Brenda Mailloux, Mendon and Bruce Skinner, Milford as well as several grandchildren and a great grandchild.  Rita and Dick lived in several southern NH towns including Atkinson, Hudson and Merrimack as well as Haverhill, Mass, and most recently Mendon where they have resided for over 35 years.
She graduated from Haverhill High School in 1954.     Rita Skinner worked at several companies including Park Snow in Haverhill and Western Electric in North Andover.
Rita and Dick loved to travel and visited or lived in over 20 countries as well as most of the States in the USA and many of the Provinces in Canada.  She and Dick spent several winters in Florida until cancer forced them to remain “up North.”  They also enjoyed camping with their family.    Rita was a talented artist and handicraft person who enjoyed making things that others loved.  Her business was Rita’s Wishing Well.  She had a loving family and found time to be together with them often whether camping, gardening or just eating out.  She was a warm and caring person who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
