Helen A. (Jennings) Valanzola, 87, of Milford, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Milford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Guido J. Valanzola, her children Mark Valanzola and his wife Linda of Wales, Paul Valanzola of Milford, Peter Valanzola and his wife Kim of Douglas, John Valanzola of Mendon, seven grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Joshua, Lindsay, Eileen, Joseph, Gillian and one great grandchild Jackson, many nieces and nephews.  
She was born in Brookline, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Bernard) Jennings. She was a graduate of the St. Mary’s High School in Brookline, class of 1945, and moved to Milford in 1957. Mrs. Valanzola retired in 1989 from the NYNEX Company in Southborough where she was employed as a clerk.
She was an avid bowler in the Milford area and enjoyed many winters in Port Orange FL, where she was a member of the Elk Hearts. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.                She was predeceased by her brother Paul "Bud" Jennings and two sisters, Nancy Coon and Claire Reagan.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12 noon at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St, Milford. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd Milford.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
