Philip Martello Jr., 57
Philip Martello Jr., 57, of Medway, formerly of Maryland, died April 16 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Karen (Fraser) Martello with whom he celebrated a beautiful 32-year marriage. He was also the caring father of Geoffrey Martello.
Philip was born on January 2, 1959, to Norma (Bagnoli) Martello and the late Philip Martello Sr. in Milford. He is a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1976 and Stonehill College Class of 1981, where he met his wife Karen. Philip was a loyal employee of Nova Biomedical for 35 years.
He was deeply devoted to his family, and is survived by his mother Norma Martello, his sister Gail (Martello) Pope and brother-in-law Martin Pope, and nieces Melissa Pope and Amanda Pope.
Philip was an avid reader of history and politics and a life-long fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Baltimore Orioles.
He also enjoyed spending time at the beach in Maine, family bike rides, and supporting his son Geoffrey at swim meets.
Philip was a member of Team Xaverian, a cycling team that competes each summer in the Pan-Mass Challenge. He trained annually to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Team Xaverian’s efforts support the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Outcomes Clinic.
The Funeral and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
