Laura L. Shuras, 98,

Laura L. Shuras, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 7th after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Milford. Laura is the wife of the late Joseph W. Shuras Sr. and the daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Rossocci) Dota.

Laura was a 1942 graduate of Milford High School. She was at one time employed as a sales lady at the former Jordan Marsh Co. Of Framingham and also a sales lady at the former Anthony Robert's Showroom in Milford. Laura was also receptionist and office manager at Milford Studio of Self Defense, a family owned business, for many years. She had worked part time as a seamstress at Spalloni's of Milford.

Laura is survived by one son, Joseph W. Shuras Jr, a retired Milford Police Officer, and his wife Kathleen (Hannigan) Shuras and her grandson Cody. A sister Lucy Moschilli Speroni and several nieces and nephews Laura was predeceased by a sister Fannie Schall and brother-in-law’s Albert Schall, Robert Moschilli and Frank Speroni. I wish to note Laura was also predeceased by a baby boy at birth in 1950 and never really got over it. She is now reunited with him in heaven.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 5 East Main St. Milford MA. The burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd in Milford. Calling hours are private.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford.
