Carla Marie Borelli, 65, of Milford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 26, 2025, as God gently called her to eternal rest. She leaves behind a legacy of music, faith, and unconditional love that will be cherished forever.
A lifelong native of Milford, Carla was a proud graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1977, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and actively involved in the chorus and drama club.
Her passion for the arts blossomed early and became the foundation of her life’s work.
Carla pursued her calling at the Boston Conservatory, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1981 and her Master’s in Vocal Performance in 1985. Her presence, grace, and extraordinary talent brought beauty and inspiration to every space she entered.
She served as the beloved music teacher at Our Lady of the Valley Regional School in Uxbridge, MA from 1982 to 2008, where she nurtured generations of students with creativity and heart. From 1984 to 2007, she was the music director, music teacher, and cantor for Masses at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford, MA.
Her powerful voice lifted spirits at countless Masses, weddings, and funerals, and she led the parish choir with deep reverence and faith.
In earlier years, she also dedicated time to Sacred Heart’s CCD religious education program, guiding children through their spiritual journeys.
Since 2019, Carla continued her service in the Milford Public School System, bringing warmth and commitment to the classroom. Many also knew her from her work at Target in Milford, where her familiar kindness made everyone feel welcome.
Carla’s heart belonged to music — especially the works of Mozart, Maria Callas, Andrea Bocelli, and The Beatles, whose songs brought her deep joy.
She was known for her timeless fashion sense, her flawless makeup, and her deep love for her four cats, who were her loyal companions. They will miss her dearly, just as she would have missed them.
Above all, Carla was the devoted mother of Sarah Al-Aghawani, 33, of Weymouth, MA — her only daughter and the light of her life. Their bond was sacred, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering connection. Carla’s spirit will forever live on through Sarah’s heart, voice, and strength.
Carla leaves behind countless students, friends, colleagues, and parishioners whose lives she touched through her music, her warmth, and her grace.
