Carl Edward Bourie, 81, year’s young, passed away on the afternoon of November 13, 2025 in Milford. He was a graduate of the David Proudly High School in Spencer MA and then joined the US Airforce. While in Air Force he was a cryptographer. He was married to his wife Gloria Jean Bourie in the summer of 1969. He was employed at Aubachon Hardware in Spencer and was transferred to the store in Milford. Carl and Gloria resided in Milford for many years. Their first child was born and then the second and a few years later a third.
He was employed at Data General, EMC and was a kitchen designer after that. His children and all the neighborhood children came to join his baseball and wiffle ball games, as well as sledding in the winter, He was always the last one inside.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Bourie, Michael Bourie his oldest son, his daughter Sharlene Costa as well as son in law Michael Costa, one brother George Bourie and two grandchildren, Sydney Costa and Sean Costa. He was predeceased by and including, his parents, Carroll and Jennie (Anderson) Bourie, his son Brian Bourie, and sisters, Marsha Nelson and Virginia Bourie.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St. The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford.
