Peter V. Sanchioni, 87, of Milford, passed away March 8, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Joan M. (Lacosse) Sanchioni for 56 years. He was born in Milford, son of the late Dante and Bruna (Uguccioni) Sanchioni and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1946. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran. Mr. Sanchioni retired in 1991 from Stop-n-Shop where he was a manager in Milford and Westboro for 37 years. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and also a member of the Sacred Heart Choir.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Peter Sanchioni of Ashland, Paul Sanchioni of Milford, John Sanchioni and his wife Dawn of Hopedale, Mark Sanchioni and his wife Patricia of Milford, James of Milford, Andrea and her husband Shawn Fallon of Milford, twelve grandchildren, Megan Sanchioni, Brian Sanchioni, Amanda Sanchioni, James Sanchioni, Alexa Sanchioni, Peter Fallon, Joseph Sanchioni, Daniel Fallon, Peter V. Sanchioni, Tess Sanchioni, Nora Fallon and Shawn Fallon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Elia Tosches, Olga Julian and Dorothy Sanchioni. The funeral will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
