William “Bill” Francis Call, 85

William “Bill” Francis Call of Milford, MA passed away peacefully on March 1,2026 at the age of 85. He was born on October 2,1940 to Arthur and Hazel Cutlip Call in Boston, MA. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Stallone) Call.  He is survived by his children: Karen L. Ward and her husband Michael, William M. Call, Kristine Daebler and her husband Michael, Timothy Call and his wife Hillary; his step-children: Anne McElwee, John Stallone, James Stallone, Michelle Stallone ; his sister, Rita Quirk; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews all of whom will miss his many stories. He was predeceased by his step-son Albert Stallone.  He was also predeceased by his six siblings: Arthur Call, Eileen Kushmerek, Lawrence Call, Joseph Call, Robert Call, Mary Murphy.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Bill served honorably as an Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class (AFM2) from 1958 to 1962. As a Petty Officer, he provided vital leadership and technical mastery in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling jet engines to ensure the safety and success of naval flight operations. During his service, Bill was stationed at Norfolk, VA. The discipline and technical skill he developed in the Navy remained a source of pride throughout his life. He worked as a Microwave Electrical Engineer for several companies, including Neico Microwave Company/Epsco and Raytheon, developing a specialized expertise in RF waveguide design.  His ingenuity in this field earned him four patents, a testament to his tireless dedication to his craft. Among his proudest professional achievements was his work on equipment installed in the Apollo capsules.

A calling hour will be held Friday March 27, 2026 from 9 to 10 A.m. at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. followed by a funeral home service. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Cemetery in Bourne MA.
