Olivia De Sousa, 96,

Olivia De Sousa, 96, of Milford, passed away, February 7, 2018 at the Blaire House of Milford. She was the wife of the late Jose Cerqueira who passed away in 1957. She was born in Gracao, Portugal daughter of the late Antonio and Ana De Sousa and immigrated to America in 1967 living in Cambridge and Milford.            

She is survived by her children, Jose Cerqueira, Antonio Cerqueira, Jack Cerqueira and Ana Cerqueira-Barros all of Milford, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her son Manuel Cerqueira.

Calling hours will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St.

A funeral Mass and burial will be in Gracao, Portugal

To Olivia's family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. It's so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that Jehovah God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort and strength, remembering that soon God will wipe away our tears and swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8)
