Carol A. Landry (formerly Morganelli), 78

        Carol A. Landry (formerly Morganelli), 78, of Milford, MA, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was the wife of Hank Landry, they have been married for almost 35 years. She was born in Milford, MA, the daughter of the late Michael and Jennie (Cannizzaro) Morganelli.

    Besides her husband Hank, Carol is survived by one daughter: Paula Pomponio and her husband Eddie Pomponio; one son: Michael Tomaso and his fiancé Lillian DeFrias; three grandchildren: Isabella Pomponio, Jacob Tomaso and Jonathan Tomaso. She is predeceased by one sister and two brothers: Jean (Ruggiero) Morganelli, Dr. Peter Morganelli and Michael Morganelli, Jr.; two brothersin-law, two sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Carol was a 1960 graduate of Milford High School, and a graduate of Becker Junior College. She worked as an EKG technician at Milford Hospital for many years. Later in her career she was a successful real estate agent in the Milford-Framingham area.

    Carol enjoyed being active and had a great zest for life. She was an avid walker, and found great pleasure in being out on the trail or going to the gym. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed gathering together for weekly Thursday night dinners or watching one of her granddaughter’s dance performances. Carol loved connecting with friends. You could always find her and Hank enjoying a meal out around town every Friday and Saturday. She also enjoyed traveling, had a great love of adventure, and treasured her time away in Newport, RI.

    Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020. Loved ones should gather at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale, MA. The funeral mass will be followed by a Graveside Service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford, MA.     Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, MA.

    Strict Covid protocols will be enforced at both the church and funeral home. These include wearing a face covering, social distancing of 6 feet, and no gathering indoors.     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215, www.dana- farber.org or St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 Saint Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org

Carol and I were classmates at MHS'60. Good friends then and now. Served on many HS committees together. At our reunions it was as if we had never parted!! At MHS, I remember her for her long, flowing, jet-black banana curls!!! May she RIP and my sincere condolences to her family!!
