Angelina M. (Meiranda) Carneiro, 97, of Milford, where she has lived since 1971, died peacefully, Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Donoes, Portugal, the daughter of the late Francisco Ramalho and Maria Meiranda
She retired at the age of 65 from Fenwal in Ashland, where she had worked as an assembler. She had also previously worked at the Milford Shoe Co.
She was the mother of Heitor Carneiro and his wife Ana of Milford, Jose Carneiro and his wife Lucia of Milford, Manuel Carneiro and his wife Kathy of Texas, Ilidio Carneiro and his wife Cathie of Milford, Cesaltina Ruterio and her husband Armando of France, Maria Valenca and her husband Jose of Milford, Lucia Cerquiera and her husband Gaspar of Portugal, Helena Hollett and her husband Mark of Whitinsville, and the late Louise Helfand. She was the sister of the late Antonio Correira, and is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 10 A.M. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Milford. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford. Visiting hours will be private.
