Esther F. (Grillo) Bent 97, of Milford, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Harold R. Bent Sr. who passed away in 1994. She was born in Milford daughter of the late Salvatore and Salvatrice Grillo and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1941. Esther was employed for many years as a cafeteria worker for the Milford Public Schools.
She was an avid bingo player, a volunteer at the Countryside Healthcare in Milford, a member of the Milford Senior Center and a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She is survived by her children, Harold F. Bent Jr. and his wife Carol of Bellingham, Robert Bent and his wife Dawnanne of Uxbridge, Susan and her husband Stephen Roy of Clayton NC, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Grillo and two sisters, Laura Grillo and Josephine Nutter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 5 East Main St. The burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
