Marion E. (Stead) Babcock, 93, of Hopedale, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was the wife of the late David E. Babcock who passed away in 1993. She was born in Boston daughter of the late John and Hildur (Johnson) Stead and moved to Hopedale in 1981. She was a graduate of the Medford High School class of 1945. Marion was employed for many years as a cook for the Newton Public Schools retiring and also worked for John Hancock Insurance agency.
She is survived by her children Linda Russo and her husband Robert of Hopedale, Donna Chalmers and her husband Robert of Hopedale, Sandra Roemers and her husband William of Ashland and her step sister Nancy Linekan of Ispwich, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Pauline Rubcinuck.
