Lillian Rose Capuzziello, 87, a lifelong resident of Milford went home to heaven on Wednesday, March 31 with loved ones by her side. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Casima (Cutropia) Lombardi. Lillian was a high school graduate of Milford High School where she was captain of the cheerleading squad. Lillian held various administrative positions throughout her career and retired in 2001 from the Town of Milford Planning Board. Lillian had a strong faith and was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Milford. She always put family first and was a selfless, beautiful person, inside and out. She enjoyed family gatherings and cooking, her homemade raviolis and eggplant were her specialties. She also baked lots of tasty desserts for her grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of Robert Capuzziello of 67 years, they were inseparable. Lillian was a kind, loving and understanding mother to two sons: Robert and his wife Nancy Capuzziello of Milford and Stephen and his wife Brenda Capuzziello of Upton. Lillian was a caring, listening, endearing grandmother to her five grandchildren: Bobby Capuzziello, Ryan Capuzziello, Stephen Capuzziello, Jr., Cassie Capuzziello and Scott Capuzziello. Her grandchildren were her life. When the grandkids were younger, Lillian could often be found at their baseball games, music concerts or dance recitals. Lillian leaves behind one sister, Lucy Frascotti, wife of Charles Frascotti of Milford and is predeceased by a sister, Marie Warren, wife of the late Charles Warren also of Milford. She was also loved by two nephews Robert Frascotti, husband of Rhonda Frascotti and John Frascotti, husband of Sharon O’Connor. Lillian’s love and generosity extended to her grandnieces Jessie Frascotti, Katie Frascotti and Lily Frascotti and her grandnephew Anthony Frascotti. She had many friends and extended family members.
A graveside service will be open to family and friends on Monday, April 5 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Road in Milford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford Ma.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Parish or the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation.
The legacy of Lillian’s faith, unconditional love, hard work, and commitment to her family will be carried on through the lives of her children and grandchildren. “Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. Her children stand and bless her.
