Dorothy M. (Harroun) Woodman, 89, of Bellingham, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2021. She was married to the love of her life, Walter C. Woodman for 65 years before his passing in 2015. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late William and Harriet (Wood) Harroun and moved to Bellingham in 1950. She was educated in the Boston schools.
Dorothy was employed as a secretary at the John Hancock Ins. in Boston and in her later years was a waitress at the former Marie’s restaurant in Bellingham. Dorothy loved her life, family and friends. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Anglestone Chapter, in No. Attleboro, MA, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bellingham.
She is survived by her children, Karen and her husband Dennis Benoit of Simpsonville SC, Wendy and her husband Stephen DePaolo of Bellingham, Faith and her husband Michael Paradiso of Mendon, Robin and her husband Roger Oakley of Bellingham, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Lori Brien, and her sisters, Elaine Vater-Dillon, Constance Brink, Myrtle Harroun, and Leona Redonnet-Eagan.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at 11AM at the First Baptist Church, 1172 So. Main St., Bellingham. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Bellingham.
Visiting hours at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, will be on Thursday evening from 4-7PM.
