Carmelo Leon , 62

Carmelo Leon known as Cuco from Milford, MA passed away on Saturday, December 18th, 2021, in his home surrounded by his partner Holly Schievink and children. Carmelo was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is preceded in death by his father Evaristo Leon, mother Simona Garcia, 8 siblings and his oldest son, Gelson L. Leon Santiago. Carmelo is survived by his partner, Holly Schievink, Michael Schievink, sister Dorian Leon, son Fernando L. Leon, daughters Ileana Leon Boudreaux and Xiomara Leon. Grandchildren, Israel L. Tavares, Nathaniel F. Leon, Isabella L. Clinton, and Lorenzo M. Ramos.

Cuco loved living and was full of life. He was known for his great personality, funny humor, caring, energetic and had a heart of gold. He was a baseball and softball enthusiast. He played 1st base and played every spring and summer. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan. He never missed a Red Sox game. He enjoyed spending time with his favorite niece Elizabeth Medina (Chachi) and his favorite nephew, Manuel Martinez (Junito) and family in Florida. He loved the beaches in Florida. He also enjoyed spending his Sundays with his youngest grandson, Lorenzo Ramos and looked forward to facetiming his daughter and grandchildren in Florida.

He will be dearly missed. You have left an empty space in our hearts, but we are thankful that you are no longer suffering and are with the Lord. Rest in peace Dad. We love you and miss you.

Calling hours will be held Thursday December 23, 2021 at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA. from 4 to 8 P.M. A funeral home service will be held at 6 P.M.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society 3 Speen St. Suite 250 Framingham MA 01701

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Carmelo and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Carmelo work for me at Weston Nurseries and was a very hard worker. He had a great personality and a great sense of humor, there wasn’t a day that went by that he would not make laugh hysterically. My you Rest In Peace you were a great man.
