Craig R. Larsen, 64

Craig R. Larsen, 64, of Blackstone, where he has lived since 1987, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 surrounded by his family at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.  Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the son of the late Harry and Julia (Barrows) Larsen, and the loving husband for over 35 years to Terri L. (Spearin) Larsen.

As a graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury High School, he then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Mexico. He opened a business with his father called Larsen Associates Sportswear.

He was the father of Lindsey Larsen-Kelsey and her husband Drew of Shrewsbury, and Taylor D. Larsen and his wife Amanda of Lincoln, RI. He adored his grandchildren, Max, Zane, Colten, Case and Brody. He was also the brother of Karen Larsen of ME, Tracy Larsen of FL, and the late Donna Larsen.

Craig was an avid sports fan!  He loved all Boston Sports, and followed them from the time he was very young.  He was a New England Patriots season ticket holder, and the founder of the Patriot's Tailgators, which included both friends and family.  He followed college sports, and was especially proud of his daughter's Elmira College Cheerleading team, who won NCA College Nationals in 2007, and his son's Assumption College Hockey Team.  In Blackstone, he supported all of the kids in town, whether they were playing on Lindsey's and Taylor's teams or not.  He was a coach and eventually the president for Blackstone Youth Baseball where so many kids benefitted from his guidance.  He was always the fun loving son, husband, dad, and friend.  He will be missed by so many.

Visiting hours, at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 4-7PM. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Stay tuned for a late Spring Celebration of Life party.

Terri, I can’t tell you how sorry I am to here of Craig’s passing. My prayers for you and the family. We spent many days together discussing our grandchildren and kids and every sport and game they played. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Craig from his dad when I was coaching at Bates College. We were extremely close friends that had the same feelings for our families and especially our wives. He checked in on me over the past two years to make sure my recovery from cancer was going ok. Those calls meant so much to me. My deepest sympathy to you and the kids. Smokey Moresi

Terri, So devastated to hear of Craig's passing. Its been years since we last spoke and it doesn't diminish my heartfelt sadness. Craig was a dear friend and we spent so many great summers together at Medomak. My first ever attendance at an NFL game was with Craig, Uncle Ted, and Dick at Harvard Stadium when the Patriots were the Boston Patriots playing the Vikings. It genuinely feels like yesterday. Sending love and condolences from me all the way from Sydney....

I’m so sorry for your loss. Craig and I weren’t very close as cousins growing up, but I came to love him in my adult life especially after he made some significantly generous efforts several years ago. I was very close to both of his parents who of course loved him deeply. I look forward to attending the celebration of life once that’s arranged. Jeff Bannon New York City
