William “Bill” D’Alessandro, Sr. 84,

William “Bill” D’Alessandro, Sr. 84, of Milford, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol D’Alessandro (2001). He was predeceased by his twin brother, John D’Allessandro and sister Doreen Savard. Bill is survived by his adoring children, William D’Alessandro, Jr. and his wife Linda D’Alessandro of Hopedale, daughters Lori Cunningham of Uxbridge, and Donna Lombard and her fiance Eric Goldman of Uxbridge. He is also survived by his sister Ann Marie Phaneuf of Milford, first wife Janice D’Alessandro of Franklin, sister-in-law Judith D’Allessandro of Uxbridge, sons-in-law Alan Cunningham of Blackstone and Kevin Lombard of Bellingham, MA. Bill leaves behind five grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Kayla D’Alessandro-Kennedy and her husband Justin Kennedy of Bellingham, Laura Batallas and her husband Nate Batallas of Hudson, NH, Mariah Lombard of Boston, Chad and Craig Cunningham of Franklin. In addition to his grandchildren, he was blessed with three great grandchildren, Little Billy, Noelle and Shane, his compassionate caregivers Julie Murphy and Barbara Johnson, and extended family.            

Bill was born in Milford and was the son of Arthur and Marion (Fricker). He attended Milford High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955 and was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska. Following the Navy, he transitioned into sales and finished his career at Wolfers Lighting (formerly Standard Electric) in 1999. Bill was a proud member of the Italian Vets in Milford and enjoyed volunteering at numerous fundraisers and events sponsored by Crossroads Clubhouse in Hopedale. He was an avid golfer and never turned down an invitation to play. Bill would often be found at Dunkin Donuts in downtown Milford with Jimmy Marcello and his pals for their afternoon coffee. Bill cherished the time he spent with his family and showered his grandchildren with the warmest and tightest hugs. He will be greatly missed by all.            

Services for Bill will be private under the care of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street Milford, MA.
