Richard P. Cola, 95, of Milford, formerly of Framingham, passed away peacefully Saturday April 9, 2022. He was born in Framingham, son of the late Peter and Jennie Cola and stepson of Riccardo Pesci. Richard is predeceased by his sister Ruth Barbadora and her husband Edo.
Richard was the husband of the late Celeste L. Cola. A beloved father and uncle, he is survived by his four children Robert Morini of Hopkinton, Patricia Bryant of Holliston, William Morini and his wife Tina of Milford, and Therese Snow and her husband Albert of Uxbridge and his nephew Peter Barbadora and his wife Lynn and niece Nancy Caruso and her husband Tom. He was a grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of nine. He was a grand-uncle of five and great-grand uncle of eleven.
Richard was educated in the Framingham school system. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for Framingham for over 50 years. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman as a former President and life-long member of the Southborough Rod and Gun Club as well as a member of the Columbus Club. He enjoyed playing golf as well as watching all Boston sports teams.
A very religious man, he enjoyed meeting his friends for breakfast, taking his daily walks and spending quality time with his family.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 8:30 – 9:30AM at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at the St. Maryof the Assumption Church, 17 Winter Street, Milford. Burial to follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
