Filomena R. Carrabba, 108, passed away, May 31, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Luigi and Antoinette (Zicolella) Carrabba, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She attended Milford Public Schools and was employed at Kartiganer Hat Factory for many years. She continued her handicraft throughout her life, and it gave her great pleasure to give her talented work to family and friends near and far.
Filomena was predeceased by her brothers James, Joseph, John and Michael Carrabba, and her sisters Anna Lamson and Concetta Smith. She was a loving and caring aunt to all. She is survived by her nieces Mary Smith with whom she resided, Veronica (Ronnie) Smith Farrell and her husband Frederick of Milford, Rita Lamson Lefrancois and her husband Norman of Hopedale, Richard Lamson of Sterling CT, and Anne Carrabba Haganey and her husband Donald of Uxbridge, and many great nieces and nephews.
Filomena was a devout Catholic and her faith in God was important to her. She also loved her family and took great joy in sharing family celebrations. She loved to travel around New England, and especially enjoyed her trips to Florida, to visit family and friends who were dear to her.
The funeral will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Winter St., Milford. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Rd., Milford.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M.
