Angelo R. DeMaria, 89, of Milford, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Viola M. (DelSignore) Demaria. He was born in Milford, son of the late Ralph and Angelina (Calzone) DeMaria and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1951. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Angelo was a hardworking, dedicated family man who retired from Stop-n-Shop after 43 years where he was employed as a meat cutter. He was a volunteer at the Milford food pantry along with his wife Viola for many years. Angelo enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting fishing and gardening.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Patricia and her husband Louis Frasca of Bellingham, Robert DeMaria of Milford, a grandson Matthew Frasca of Bellingham, one brother Nicholas DeMAria of Milford, three sisters, Mary Lamborghini of Providence RI, Theresa Lizotte of Milford, Rita Piso of Milford and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph DeMaria and Vincent DeMaria and one sister Lucy Cormier.
Friends and family are invited for a burial service that will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bertoni Chapel in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd in Milford. Calling hours will be private.
