Alfredo "Al" Boccabella, 84, passed away on June 2, 2023, in Framingham. Born on January 13, 1939, in Navelli, Italy, he was the beloved husband of Bernardette Boccabella, who preceded him in death. Al was a true gentleman in every way. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. There was not one person that met him that did not like him. He was strong but gentle, patient, calm, supportive, loving, and wise. He was a hero in the eyes of his children and adored by many, especially by the ones that loved him the most.
Al proudly served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964. He was a head chef in the Army and continued his culinary career as a chef and restaurant owner in civilian life. He also taught culinary skills at a local college in Brooklyn, NY. Al loved classical music and opera. He and his wife attended many performances, and opera was always being played in their home. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Al is survived by his twin daughters, Frances Pitts and Christina Turcotte, son in law David Turcotte, son Joseph Boccabella and his wife, granddaughters Angelica, Ariel, and Isabella, grandsons Joseph, Anthony, and Rocco, great-grandchildren Aidan and Aria, Al's sisters, brother, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Faith Community Church of Hopkinton at 146 East Main Street in Hopkinton on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 2pm. The burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery on Cedar St Milford MA.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA
