Silvio M. Sannicandro, 88,

Silvio M. Sannicandro, 88, of Milford, died Monday, February 14, 2011, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He is the husband of Mary L. (Ginnetti) Sannicandro of 66 years. He was born in Milford son of the late John and Josephine (Vendetti) Sannicandro and was a life long Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford schools. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Sannicandro retired in 1985 from the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale where he was employed as a loom builder. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Mr. Sannicandro was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a big band enthusiast.  In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Silvio J. and his wife Maryanne (Ferrucci) Sannicandro of Hopedale, one daughter Sandra M. Sannicandro-Gavin of Milford, one brother John Sannicandro of Milford, four grandchildren Kristine and her husband Kevin O’Loughlin of Hopedale, David and his wife Sharna (Smith) Sannicandro of Taunton, Kimberly and her husband Steven Krupski of Woonsocket RI, Deborah and her husband Dr. Nicholas Pacella of Medway, seven great grandchildren, Kayla, Jack, Anthony, Devin, Nicholas III, Nina and Grace, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Steven Sannicandro, Louis Sannicandro and one sister Mary H. Ruggiero.    
The funeral will be held Friday February 18, 2011 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St.    The burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Legacy of Faith Campaign, 5 East Main St. Milford Ma 01757 or to a charity of one’s choice.

I saw the notice of death in the "Recent Deaths" column of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. I worked with Mr Sannicandro's son Silvio J. at the Corning Glass Works plant in Medfield during the 70's. I see you had been together for 66 years. My wife Helen and I have been married for 43 years. Please accept our sympathy for your loss.
