Lucy C. (DeCapua) Alphonse, 89, of Milford, died Wednesday 16, 2011 in the Geriatric Authority of Milford. She was the wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Alphonse who died in 2007. She was born in Milford daughter of the late Leonardo and Maria (Coscia) DeCapua and was a life long Milford resident. She was educated in the Milford schools. She retired in 1980 from the Lawrence Douglas Stamp Works in Milford. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a former member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. Mrs. Alphonse is survived by two daughters Sheila wife of Edward Wajda of Milford, Luann wife of David Filosa of Milford, one brother Atty. Pacifico DeCapua of Milford, three sisters Netta Grillo, Yola Collins and Mafalda Chiccarelli all of Milford, six grandchildren Ann Rolo, Shenan Lu Pellegrini, Brandt Wajda, Chase Filosa, Cole Filosa and Carina Lu Filosa all of Milford, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Mary Amantea, Jennie Verrier, Dominic “Dicky” DeCapua and Ann Marie Kane. .
The funeral will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St.
A private burial will follow
Calling Hours will be held Friday from 3 to 7 P.M.
