Arthur Peter Consigli, 85,
Arthur Peter Consigli, 85, of Milford, MA and Dennisport, MA, died unexpectedly at home April 16, 2011. Arthur’s loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Skelly) Consigli, passed away in 1998. Arthur was the son of Peter and Pia (Pettinati) Consigli; he was born and raised in Milford, MA and educated in the Milford Public Schools. Arthur worked as a mason and general contractor throughout his life. He started as a mason and general contractor working beside his father and brothers at Peter Consigli and Son’s (predecessor to Consigli Construction Co., Inc). Arthur later founded the Arthur P. Consigli Construction, Inc. where he focused on masonry construction. He held licenses including blasting, construction supervision, hoisting engineer and several others. He installed sewer and water lines for the town of Milford and surrounding towns. Arthur continued his construction career well into his 80’s, repairing Milford’s Godfrey Brook and O’Brien Brook. Arthur was an Army Veteran of World War II serving in The Pacific Theater seeing action in Okinawa. Arthur was a founding member of the Milford Kiwanis Club, a member of the Upton VFW, Post 5594, a former member of The Elks Club of Milford and an associate member of The Marchegiano Club and the Milford Italian Vets. Arthur is a current Precinct 6 Town Meeting Member. He enjoyed volunteering his time at The Hopedale Housing Authority cookouts where he manned the barbeque grill. Arthur enjoyed spending time at the Cape with his family and friends. He leaves his daughters, Patricia A. (Consigli) Kayser, her husband, Stanley G. Kayser of Westboro, Katherine E. Consigli of Milford, June M. (Consigli) Speliotis, her husband State Representative Ted Speliotis of Danvers, Paula J. Consigli of Milford. Arthur was proud and loving of his four grandchildren, Jason P. Kayser of Worcester, Pia M. (Speliotis) Freeley and her husband Matthew of Everett, Megan A. Kayser of Worcester, Ashley E. Speliotis of Danvers, two brothers, George Consigli of Milford, Aldo Consigli of Upton, three sisters Rita Coffey of Hopedale, Gloria Coffey of Milford, Elena Murphy of Milford, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Consigli, Henry Consigli, Albert Consigli, Fredrick Consigli, his sisters Maria Panorese, Anna Peters and Florence Pironti. The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Milford. Burial will follow in the sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. in Milford. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M.
