Josephine E. (Bernardi) Calzaloia, 89, of Milford, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in the Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was the wife of the late Ralph J. Calzaloia who died in 1986. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Niro) Bernardi and was a life long Milford resident. She was educated in the Milford schools. Mrs. Calzaloia was employed as an inspector at the former Anthony Roberts in Milford and also was employed as the treasure at the former Jean Depot in Milford. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
    She is survived by one son Ralph and his wife Mary (Racine) Calzaloia of Milford, two sisters Dorothy Carnaroli of Hopedale, Theresa Iacovelli of Milford, a sister-in-law Dora Bernardi of Hopedale, two grandchildren Lori and her husband Myron Gorbey of Milford, Damon Calzaloia of Milford, one great-grandson Jeffrey Calzaloia of Milford , many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Andrew Bernardi.
     The funeral will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. in Milford. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
