He was born in Cansano, L’Aquila, Italy in 1932, the son of Nicola and Lucia ( Di Gregorio ) Di Domenico. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 56 years, Ferminda (Di Fiore) Di Domenico and his children: Lucinda Di Domenico of West Roxbury, Nicholas Di Domenico of Uxbridge, Pamela Rivard of Worcester, and Paul Di Domenico and his wife Mary (Reidy) Di Domenico of Worcester. A devoted grandfather, Mr. Di Domenico  leaves behind six grandchildren: Allyson and Thomas Rivard of Worcester, Robert Di Domenico of McSherrystown, PA, and Natalie, Grace, and Catherine Di Domenico of Worcester. He also leaves behind two brothers and their wives: Frank and Mary Di Domenico of Milford and Ned and Rosanna Di Domenico of Hampton Falls, NH. In addition, he leaves behind his mother-in-law, Palma Di Fiore and three sisters-in-law and their husbands: Pasqua and Biagio De Santis, Antonietta and Gino Di Giallonardo, and Maria and Gary Pilla, all of Milford. Also, he leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.      After immigrating to the U.S. in 1948, he worked in various factories, including Milford Shoe and Drapers. While serving in the army during The Korean Conflict, he started to attend night school. On the suggestion of his cousin, Donato DeBartolomeis, he completed his GED under the guidance of Harold Moran. He later earned degrees in mathematics and philosophy at Clark University.    In 1961, he began his career in education by teaching mathematics and physics in the Milford school system. He finished his noteworthy career in 1997 at Framingham High School.  Mr. Di Domenico won the Tandy Award given for understanding teaching in the field of mathematics and he was a three-time finalist for the Presidential Teaching Award. In addition to teaching, he was a soccer coach and referee for many years. Mr. Di Domenico was also a mathematician. An author of numerous articles published in national and international mathematics journals, his passion was to reduce complex mathematics to simple structures. He incorporated these ideas into his teaching. Several of his students made discoveries under his tutelage.
