Rose A. (Pontonio) Boccasile, 87,
of Hopedale, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Medway Country Manor in Medway. She is the wife of Ralph F. Bocasile of 64 years. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Matteo and Donna (Palma) Pontonio and lived in Milford before moving to Hopedale in 1972. She was educated in the Milford schools. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hopedale, member of the Milford Italian American Veterans Women’s Auxiliary.
The Boccasile family would like to thank the entire staff at the Medway Country Manor in Medway for the care and love they gave to Rose.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one son David M. Boccasile of Hopedale, two daughters Margaret A. “Peggy” and her husband George Marashian of Milford, Susan and her husband Dick Gould of Millville, four grandchildren Carla and her husband Timothy Joyce of Uxbridge, Jay Gould of Millville, Danica Boccasile and Michael Boccasile both of Hopedale, one great-grandchild Tyler Joyce of Uxbridge.
She was predeceased by her son Ralph P. Boccasile, her sisters Vincenza D’Amici, Angelina Pontonio and Maria Silva.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11 A.M. in the Sacred Heart Church on Hopedale St. in Hopedale. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. in Milford Calling Hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home Inc. 46 Water St. Milford. In leau of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the V.N.A. of Greater Milford 25 Birch St. Suite B1 Milford MA 01757 or to the American Diabetes Association 330 Congress St. Suite 501 Boston MA 02210
