Serafina “Fannie” Calzone, 96,
Serafina “Fannie” Calzone, 96, of Milford, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was the wife of the late Antonio Calzone who died in 1997. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Ernest and Theresa (DeMatteis) Iannitelli and was a life long Milford resident. She was educated in the Milford schools. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s club. Mrs. Calzone enjoyed her family, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to cook and entertain her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters Judith F. Calzone, and Donna C. Shaw and her husband Charles R. Shaw of Milford, one sister Ernestine Iannitelli of Milford, two grandchildren, Michelle Metivier and her husband Michael Metivier of Westford, Christina “Tina” Fitanides and her husband Dennis Fitanides of Ashland, five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Metivier, Megan Metivier, Sara Metivier, Antonio Fitanides, Alexander Fitanides, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Lena Farese, Clara Arminio and one brother Edward Iannitelli.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 12:15 P.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. The burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral mass from 10:45 to 11:45 A.M. in the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home Inc. 46 Water St.
