Salvatore J. “Sully” Sannicandro, 90
Salvatore J. “Sully” Sannicandro, 90
, of Milford, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Doris (Latimore) Sannicandro who died in 1972. He was born in Milford son of the late Paul and Filomena (Iannitelli) Sannicandro and was a life long Milford resident. Mr. Sannicandro was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1939. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He retired in 1979 from the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale, where he was employed as a laborer. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
He is survived by two daughters Sandra and her husband John Mickel of Sorrento ME, Cynthia and her husband Mark Thompson of Groton, one brother Edward Sannicandro of Hopedale, one sister Stella Stoico of Milford, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Sannicandro and his sisters Mary Ristaino and Fanny Noferi.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 9 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Milford. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. in Milford Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 P.M.
