George L. Consigli, 92

    George L. Consigli, 92, of Milford, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Countryside Health Care of Milford. 
       He was born in Milford, son of the late Peter and Pia (Pettinatti) Consigli and was a life long Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford schools, and was a World War II  U.S. Army Veteran.
       Mr. Consigli was part owner of the Consigli Construction Company Inc., and worked many years as an accomplished stone mason.
       He was a member of the Milford Sons of Italy Lodge 1356, VFW Post 1544, and the Masons union.
        He enjoyed his trip to Italy in 2004 having visited his home town of Berceto a province of Parma, where the homestead of his parents still stands and his family lives.
       George took great pride in maintaining his family home and landscaping his property, including Peter’s Market in Milford, and taking care of his loyal dog Teddie.
       He survived by three sisters, Rita Coffey of Hopedale, Elena Murphy of Milford, Gloria Coffey of Milford, many nieces and nephews.
       He was predeceased by three sisters, Maria Panorese, Anna Peters, Florence Pironti, and six brothers, Joseph Consigli, Henry Consigli, Albert Consigli, Aldo Consigli, Arthur Consigli, and Frederick Consigli.
       The funeral will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St Milford Ma.
      A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford.
       Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford.
       Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
       Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Countryside Health Care of Milford, 1 Countryside Drive, Milford, MA 01757
