Andrew Francis Young, 88

Andrew Francis Young, 88 of Mendon, MA., died Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford MA. He was the husband of Georgia (Distasio) Young of 11 years. He was also the husband of the late Barbara (Cappalli) Young who died in 1986. He was born in Woonsocket RI son of the late Robert and Mary (Riley) Young and lived in Woonsocket RI and West Warwick RI before moving to Mendon MA. in 2001.
    He was a graduate of the Woonsocket High School class of 1942. Mr. Young was a World War II Air Force veteran serving 20 years and retiring in 1965.
     Mr. Young retired in 1985 from the U.S. Postal Service where he was employed as a postal clerk in Providence RI.
    In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Kenneth A. Young of Coventry RI, two daughters Andrea DeCiantis of West Warwick RI, Elaine and her husband Ricardo Jamon of Groton CT, one sister Mary Paradis of Pawtucket RI, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will be held Monday December 24, 2012 at 9 AM from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford Ma. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM in the St. Gabriel the Archangel Church 151 Mendon St in Upton MA.
     Burial will private for the family in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter RI.
    Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M.
