Barbara T. Wood, 91

    Barbara T. Wood, 91 formerly of Mahan Circle Medway MA., passed away at the Genesis Healthcare in Milford MA., August 12, 2013. She the daughter of the late Geoffrey and Laura (Anderson) Talbot.
    She was a graduate of the Melrose High School and Malden Hospital School of Nursing. She was a devoted and caring nurse for her whole career, working at the former Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick and several nursing home in the metro west area.
    She was the wife of the late Franklin N. Wood and the former wife of Everett G. Simmons.
     She is survived by her sons, John J. Simmons and his wife Suzanne of Blue Grass VA, Peter T. Simmons and his wife Eileen of Hopedale, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    She was predeceased by her son Mark E. Simmons and her daughter JoAnne S. Longa.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.
    Contributions in her memory may be made to an animal charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Wood was a very unique lady. I enjoyed knowing her and will remember her fondly. My condolences to all. I know she will be greatly missed.
