Joseph A. Bianchi Sr., 83,

Joseph A. Bianchi Sr., 83, of Hopedale passed away, Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Joseph was born April 5, 1930 to the late Sergio and Louisa (Brita) Bianchi. He was the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Milford High School in 1948 and from Bentley College in 1959, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. On May 25, 1957 he married the love of his life, Mary (Harrington) Bianchi. Shortly thereafter, the young couple moved to Hopedale and raised their family of 4 children. Joe and Mary were happily married for 57 years. Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. He was stationed in Weisenberg, Germany and was part of the USAF Communication Division.
Joseph and his brother Vito were Co-owners of Central Cleaners and Tailoring in Milford for many years. They proudly took over the business that their parents created after moving to the United States from Italy. Running the family business with their Sister Vera was a core part of their lives. It was a place where they grew up, and a location that many of their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins and friends will remember forever.  Joseph Bianchi Sr, was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He loved life and cherished his family. "Papa" loved to spend time with all of his children and grandchildren. Joseph was proud of his Italian heritage, and was blessed to have so many fantastic cooks in the family as he loved to spend family time at the dining room table surrounded by his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children, Joseph Bianchi Jr. and his wife Francine of Albion RI, Stephen Bianchi and his wife Debra of Hopkinton, George Bianchi and his wife Lori of Attleboro, Lorrie and her husband William Card of Shrewsbury, two sisters, Vera Chinappi of Milford, Dena and her husband Bruno Castelli of Westborough, eight grandchildren, Sean, George, Amanda, Stephen, Jillian, Matthew, Lyndsey and Andrew, many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Vito and sister-in-law Jenny Bianchi.
The funeral will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St, Milford, MA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 187 Hopedale St. Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. in Milford.
