John Mooradian, 85
John Mooradian, 85, of Milford, where he has lived his whole life, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Countryside Healthcare in Milford.
Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Torigian) Mooradian. John was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1946, and of Worcester Trade School in 1948 where he studied Mechanics.
John was Sergeant in the U.S. Army where he was attached to the 703rd Ordinance of the 16 –tank 64th Tank Battalion during Korean War in 1951-1952. When he came home, John returned to his job at General Motors in Framingham, where he worked 31 more years in Quality Control and Repair until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Armenian American Veterans in Milford, where he had served as treasurer, was active in the United Auto Workers Union, and enjoyed his Thursday morning “Breakfast Club” with his former classmates, car shows, wrestling, crossword puzzles and his many mornings with family and close friends at Tony’s.
He is survived by his brother Anthony, husband of the late Gloria Mooradian, of Palm Bay, FL, and his sister Carol Mahassel and her husband Richard of Grafton. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Michael and Lisa Mooradian, Karen and Tom Corbin, Arthur and Lori Mahassel, and Mary and Rick Barnard, and many great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St, Milford, followed by a Service at 11 A.M. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St., Milford.
The burial will follow in the Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford.
Calling hours will be held at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M.

Mr.Mooradian was a sweet and friendly man.Shy and quiet at first ,but,over the years he had become quite chatty .I always looked forward to his visits with me at Drs Pappas&Walsh ,Periodontal Office in Franklin.
My heart goes out to you.

There is not enough time or space to praise John Mooradian. He was a quiet, efficient, loyal and honorable comrade. He was suportive, cooperative and assertive without being offensive. He was also a lifetime member of Belmont AMVETS Post 2008 which has kept him on its roster every month sinc e his membership We will miss him and always remember him as a great man.
