Luisa Esteves Dias, 88,
Luisa Esteves Dias, 88, of Milford passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Marlboro Hill Nursing Center in Marlboro.
She was born in Firvidas, Montalegre, Portugal, daughter of the late Bento Esteves Dias and Albina Rosa Afonso and immigrated to Milford in 1981.
She retired in 1990 from Staurt’s in Franklin where she was employed as an assembler. She was a communicant of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church.
She is survived by three sons Antonio DeMoura and his wife Alice of Milford, Artur DeMoura and his wife Carminda of Milford, Alex DeMoura and his wife Lurdes of Chicopee, four daughters Lucinda DeMoura and husband Joseph Richard of Bellingham, Maria Edite Dias and her Husband Joaquim of Cumberland RI, Luisa DaSilva and her husband Manuel of Milford, Maria Emilia DaFonte and her husband Antonio of Milford, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughters Maria Luisa DeMoura and Candida DeJesus DeMoura, four brothers Antonio Esteves Dias, Bishop Francisco Esteves Dias, Domingos Esteves Dias, Joao Esteves Dias, two sisters Maria Jose Esteves Dias and Florinda Esteves Dias.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. in Milford.
The burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar St. Milford MA.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
